Pink Quartz (also known as Rose Quartz) from Madagascar. The pale pink color of Pink Quartz is due to trace amounts of iron, titanium or manganese. Pink Quartz never forms crystals, but it sometimes shows asterism (star effect). Madagascar (Vorondolo Mountains) is one of the very few locations where it is possible to find natural star pink quartz.
