Diamond
Diamonds are amongst the most common minerals represented on mineral stamps. Most of the diamond stamps are issues by countries where diamonds are mined (such as Botswana, Tanzania, Ghana, South Africa) and where they are cut and sold (Israel, Belgium). Rough diamonds, faceted diamonds, diamond jewellery, and diamond mines are often represented. The brilliant cut is also very often stylized and used on stamps as a universal symbol for diamonds.
Diamonds for sale in diamond exchanges like Antwerp and Tel-Aviv are very expensive, but stamps featuring diamonds are very cheap and with stamp collecting one can easily gather an affordable but sizable collection of diamonds of every color and every cut, including some unique and famous gemstones like the Cullinan diamonds!
